Hey there! So glad you're here! My name is Megan, I am 30 years old. I've been married to my sweetheart for nearly 6 years and we have one perfect little 2 year old son! I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis about 5 years ago, this diagnosis changed to Crohn's in late 2016 post delivery of our son. I then had to undergo surgery to have a temporary ileostomy to allow my body to rest and heal. Last year (2018) I had another surgery to take down the first ostomy, and replace it with a permanent ileostomy as my Crohn's had destroyed my large intestine completely. This blog is going to take you all along my journey and what it is like to: 1) be a hospice aide working in the community during flares and learning just exactly how harsh and sudden symptoms can take hold 2) what it's like to basically go through trial and error of different medications 3) mom life, tips, tricks, and hacks ;-) 4) also bring levity and fun with random things I find funny and entertaining!
